Our Craft

Each batch of Botanical Grace Goat’s Milk Soap is handcrafted in small batches using our perfected hot-process method right here in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. If you’re curious, we also use the traditional cold-process method on soaps we want to maintain a smoother texture and less of a rustic look, although rustic is The Herb Peddler image.  We always let you know in the listing either method.  Just before pouring the soap “batter” into the loaf molds we add the essential oils and any herbs needed, each bar is then hand-cut after firming and allowed to cure longer for hard, mild, long-lasting soap. Hot-process does not require several weeks to cure like cold-process method does.
